Governors' Pen Portraits
Mrs D Coleman - Chair
Mrs D Coleman
I have been a governor at Huntingtower for over 25 years. Initially as a parent governor during the time that my 3 children attended the school and more recently as a community governor.
Along with my husband I have run a successful business since 1980. I am a qualified primary teacher and have a personal interest in many aspects of education which I follow passionately to ensure that the opportunities available to both pupils and staff instill an ongoing thirst for and love of teaching and learning whilst also providing enrichment outside of the classroom to further inspire, develop and nurture skills whether as a teacher or a learner.
I have embraced many changes during my time as a governor and feel privileged to have shared the wonderful experiences afforded to the Huntingtower community over the years.

Working for a leading Legal Insurer and Law Firm, I am responsible for the Corporate Business Development, building partnerships with new Corporate Partners in the insurance, banc assurance and digital markets. With over 15 years’ experience in the General and Legal Insurance market, I have a keen focus on the governance and risk elements in support of the school.
Outside of work I am a keen golfer and enjoy watching my son’s football and my daughters’ cheerleading competitions.
