Both our KS1 and KS2 choirs participated in the Colsterworth Festival of Performing Arts at the Mere's Leisure Centre on Friday 24th February.  Both choirs have been practising in school for weeks and this was so evident on the day, as they sang beautifully.  They were all very smartly dressed in their school uniform, rose to the occasion and were all very confident performers.  They were competing against other local village schools.  KS1 choir, accompanied by Donna Kightley, sang 'I Can see Clearly' and 'It's Good to be Me' and KS2 choir, accompanied by Yvonne Eldred, sang 'Sunshine in my heart' and 'Count your Blessings'            

Overall result from the afternoon was KS1 choir came 1st and won a cup which they keep for a year and KS2 were awarded a certificate.

Well done children!  A huge thank you goes to Mrs Kightley and Miss Eldred, Mrs Goddard-Tate for accompanying them on the piano, and not least, all the parents for their continued support.
