Races Day

On a sunny Monday morning our Key Stage 2 children:  Rhinos, Lemurs, Gazelles, Panthers, Lions and Zebras all took to the race track.

All groups were organised and ready to go at the starting line, waiting to hear Miss Harkins instructions.

All the children were fantastic, ran with smiles on their faces and gave there all during their races.  Once all children in Key Stage 2 had run their flat race, we organised an obstacle race. Children had to sprint, go through hoops, run back and forth with a bean bag and balance a colt on their head and cross the finish line.

After lunch it was the turn of Foundation and Key Stage 1; Kangaroos, Koalas, Leopards, Giraffe, Meerkats and Tigers. Again they all ran a sprint race first followed by the obstacle race. The Foundation was slightly different, they had an egg and spoon race while the KS1 had to throw bean bags in the hoop. Again a terrific effort from all children and very well done to them all.

A big 'Thank You' to everyone who was involved in helping out during the day to assist with the races, and to all the parents and family members who came and supported the children.                         Mrs Duxbury-Mead
