Football Match Vs Long Bennington

A mix of Year 5 and 6 children travelled away to play a friendly match against Long Bennington.

The weather was changeable as we had sunshine and then rain during the match but that didn't bother Huntingtower. We had chances in the first half but for some reason we couldn't find the back of the net. We soon found ourselves 3-0 down and that was the score at half time.

However, Huntingtower did continue to work hard, Poppy who made her debut showed the opposition that this was a game that she was going to make hard for their opponents.  Poppy and James worked extremely hard in defence giving Ebony at times very limited action. Work ethic from our midfield players Piotrek, Harley, Jack, Hubert and Gytis showed determination to pass and move up and down the pitch and Sam showing great individual work skipping passed their defence.

We came back to draw 3-3.  Sam and Piotrek getting on the score sheet and pressure from the team to get an own goal.

Once again a big thank you to parents for their support and taking the time to take the children down to the game.
