Half Day at PGL on December 2nd

12 lucky children from Year 5 were selected to go to PGL on Monday.

The trip was designed to build confidence, team work as well as enjoyment. The children participated in two activities, the high ropes and the challenge course.

The high ropes challenge is designed to develop trust and cooperation between them, it is 12m high and they had to support each other through various obstacles and challenges.

Jack (Lions) said “it was cool, but also terrifying!” “My favourite part of it was where you had to sit down on your harness and pull yourself across on the rope to get to the platform.”

The challenge course was several obstacles (high wall, nets, tyres); the children had to work together as a team to work their way through in order to complete the course.

Heather (Lions) said “I liked the challenge course; it was not tiring as we were on the ground, and the best bit was where you had to crawl through the car tyres!”

I would like to say thank you to parents/carers who were able to provide lifts to and from school, all the children had a great time!           Mrs Duxbury-Mead
