High 5 Netball Festival - Years 5/6

Well done to the children who took part in the High 5 Netball Festival and finished a brilliant 8th place - especially as this was only their second time playing netball. Max Jappy, Leah Griffiths, Harry Edwards, Fyn Chappell, Katie Bevan, Jessica-Leigh Tamplin and Elle Booton represented the school in the festival which involved 15 schools from all over Grantham and the local area.

On Wednesday 16th April, Huntingtower played in the high 5 Netball Festival. At last the sun was shining and we travelled to The Priory Ruskin to play in the High 5 Netball Tournament. 15 schools from all over Grantham had entered and this was the second time the children had played netball.

There were 3 leagues where all 15 teams played 4 matches and then a further 4 matches to progress to finish off in an overall position. Huntingtower finished 8th out of 15 schools and should be really proud of their efforts and next time, we will aim to finish higher.

Years 5 & 6 children not only represented the school to a high standard but were also ambassadors for the school and should be very proud of their efforts.

They had to rotate their positions in every game, whereby they experienced all 5 different positions and not only that, they had to remember the rules for each position! All the children showed great strength in their defending, attacking, movement and shooting. Well done to you all!

The following children took part in the High 5 Netball from Max Jappy, Leah Griffiths, Harr Edwards, Fyn Chappell, Katie Bevan, Jessica-Leigh Tamplin and Elle Booton.  Miss Duxbury.
