Making the most of every day!

It seems that the Academy is busy right from the start of the day. The year 6 pupils have been regular attenders of a SATs breakfast club where they can not only access breakfast, but also get a headstart on the day’s learning. All of our pupils work hard and whilst the year 6 pupils are of particular focus next week, it must be noted that they are excellent role models for the younger pupils. We wish them well with their assessments and know that they will try their best.

Many of our clubs have started this week and I thank both Mrs Duxbury-Mead for organising and all the staff for offering to run such a variety. With the last offer, a total of 281 out of 398 children have asked to join a new club. We also have clubs that are continuing from last term so an extra 45 pupils are involved. This is in addition to the range of activities already offered within our Academy day. We do listen to the children and their ideas relating to their interests. If they have a good idea for a club, please ask them to raise in their class council.
