KORKY PAUL – Illustrator

On Thursday, 7th February, the imaginative illustrator Korky Paul came to inspire and engage the children (and adults!) of Huntingtower School. Armed with paints, pens and a projector, he showed the children his unimitable style of drawing and entertained us with his stories.

Each year group now has their very own piece of art to remember the day by. So many children came away with the need to express themselves and produced some fabulous pieces of art. He looked through the many entries of the new hat for Winnie theWitch and picked a winner from each key stage and each child received a book of their choosing as a prize. Thank you to all the parents who came to support their children's enthusiasm for Korky's books and purchased some at the end of the day. He was here so long signing everyone's books, he nearly missed his train! I know I am particularly happy with my Winnie the Witch picture he drew in the book I bought and it will be something I will treasure for a very long time. Let's hope he has inspired some future illustrators in our children..........and they come back to share their talent with us again.
