Both groups of children have been learning a different street dance routine which they performed at the Winter Showcase.

I must say the hall was buzzing, not just from our street dance parents/carers, but all the children and parents from our Academy who came to the showcase - it was a great atmosphere for our children to perform in. A successful Winter Showcase last, Friday 5th December, included our KS2 Street Dancers.

Amy O'Sullivan (coach from Inspire+) has been delivering a street dance after school club for our KS2 children. In Term 1 we had our Years 3 and 4 children and in Term 2 our Years 5 and 6 children.

Years 3 and 4 performed first, working well as a group, listening to the beats of the music for when they did their next move. Excellent performance even though they were nervous!

Then our Years 5 and 6 children performed.  They have only had four sessions to learn their routine. This routine was higher tempo to follow. All children did fantastic; they worked extremely hard throughout the weeks of training to put on a great performance for everybody to see. Very well done.

I would like to say a 'Big Thank-You' to everyone who came and supported the children.
