CHOIR AND BOYS DANCE PERFORM IN LINCOLN

41 children that make up the KS2 Choir and Boys Dance group, went to Lincoln to perform at the annual Children’s Festival. The Boys’ Dance group and Elle Booton, led by Miss Steeples, kicked off the proceedings with ‘Hall of Fame’ and later on performed ‘Let’s Get Ready to Rumble’. The choir then performed songs such as ‘Make You Feel My Love’ and ‘Sing’ Well done to everyone for making the school proud with your fabulous performances!

On Wednesday morning, 41 children that make up the KS2 Choir and Boys Dance group, went to St Benedict’s Square, Lincoln to perform at the annual Children’s Festival. When we arrived we formed part of the audience for another school and enjoyed watching them and interacting with the host when they had finished. We were then whisked away to take part in a drama workshop led by people from Drama Bugs. This was great fun, as the children were asked to perform a nursery rhyme without words and they were fantastic at it.  Finally it was our turn to perform.

The Boys’ Dance group and Elle Booton, led by Miss Steeples, kicked off the proceedings with ‘Hall of Fame’ and later on performed ‘Let’s Get Ready to Rumble’ which was a new number they

had worked on.  They were amazingly together and remembered all their moves without any support and put on a stellar performance.  The choir did a few songs such as ‘Make You Feel My Love’ and ‘Sing’ and again did the school proud with clear, crisp singing and polished harmonies. The steward who looked after us all morning said that ‘we had sold the school well’ and they were a pleasure to work with.  High praise and deservedly so!  A big thank you to all of the adults that escorted the children to and from the festival and Miss Steeples and Mrs Goddard-Tate who helped make the performances zing!  Another big thank you to the PTFA for funding choir sashes that helped to make us look the smartest school in Lincoln.
