22, Year 5 children participated in 'Bikeability' over 2 days, trying to achieve their Level 1 and Level 2 certificates.

The children  had to learn how to look after their bikes, using the ABC method which included checking air in their tyres, making sure their brakes work correctly, making sure their chain is also in working order, also mastering the emergency stops procedure on a bike.

Throughout the 2 days the children also developed their skills on learning the safety routines, which included coming out of a

junction, turning into roads safely and dealing with parked cars and how to go pass them safely.

Children commented on how good the course has been, how much confidence they have now and how much safer they feel on the roads!

The children showed great commitment throughout the course, listening to the tutors throughout the 2 days which meant all the children achieved their Level 1.

Well done to you all
