As part of their topic this term, the Year 5 and 6 children are learning about the 1600s and the events that occurred during this period.  Last Friday, they started off the topic by learning all about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot!  The children worked in teams throughout the day to create a Guy Fawkes which was then burnt on our bonfire after school.  It was great fun and the team work throughout the day was fantastic to see.  Many thanks to all the friends and family who came to support our bonfire – we look forward to many more events like this over the coming year!
