Project Work:

This term we are exploring the town where we live...GRANTHAM! We will be learning about famous people from the area and finding out about the human and physical features of Grantham. We will be visiting the Grantham Library and Wyndham Park this term as part of our project learning.

In English, we are studying The Hodgeheg and other stories by Dick King-Smith. In the Hodgeheg, Max the hedgehog has trouble crossing the road to reach the park so we will also be thinking about the importance of road safety.

Any work or research you have done at home related to our project work is always interesting to bring into class to share with all of the Lemurs!

Homework:

Homework is given out on Fridays and needs to be handed in by the following Tuesday.

Spellings:

Spelling work is done in class each week and there will be a spelling test on each Friday. ‘Look, cover, write, check’ sheets are available for further practice at home if required.

Got a spare moment? On-going Homework:

Remember to read as much as possible Lemurs! Look out for powerful language that you can magpie for your writing!

Ask your grown-ups to listen to you read and sign your reading record-every 5 signed entries will earn you a merit!

Scholastic Reading Pro at https://educator-slz03.scholasticlearningzone.com/auth/intl/Login/GBRXYTW
Here you can read online books and do quizzes for other books that you have read.

It is very important that you continue to revise your 2, 3, 5 and 10 times tables. In Year 3 we will continue to work with these facts and also learn the 4 and 8  times tables.

Practise those times tables and number bonds to make sure you have snappy recall of your number facts!

P.E Days:
