Aiming High In All That We Do!

We are now reaching the final weeks of the term and yet there is still so much to do. Tuesday was a really exciting day when we all ‘moved up’ to our new classes! For some this was a little confusing as they were moving up year group but keeping the same class name; Mrs Kightley and Mrs Evans will now teach Y2 Pandas and Mr Hill’s Wolves will now be Year 5. Some classes have also altered year groups and teachers; Mrs Hebert will teach Y1 Wombats and Miss Widdison and the Panthers Class are moving to Y4. Rooms will be changed over in the summer and I’m sure I’ll be visiting the wrong class for a few weeks whilst we all acclimatise to the change. We did miss our Year 6 pupils who went to explore their new schools, but we are glad that they had a fabulous time. It was really lovely to start to get to know our new Kangaroos and Koalas and their families. We hope they enjoyed their session as much as we did.

We can hardly wait for next week and the presentation of learning for Years 3 and 4 at the Guildhall and also KS1 Pirate Day. Tickets for the Showcase at the Guildhall, costing £2, are still available from the office for both afternoon and evening performances. We know that it’s going to be fabulous and would love for you to be there to share it with the pupils. A separate letter has been sent to parents about Pirate Day and we know that it’s going to be lots of fun!
